Welcome
Welcome to Vandry Brazilian Jiu-jitsu!
Vandry BJJ!  Our Academy is a training environment for the entry student to our accomplished competitors. We teach beginner, intermediate, or advanced techniques in the fascinating art of Brazilian Jiu-jitsu, headed by Central Texas' only Black belt in BJJ, William Vandry.  Vandry is an accomplished Black belt under the legendary Carlos Machado and his brothers from Brazil.  Vandry was one of Texas' first four Black belts under Machado, and has competed in four Pan American World championships, placing one fourth place, two Silver medals, and one Gold.  Vandry's Academy also has MMA classes that breakdown striking, takedowns and grappling.  VBJJ Academy also has a Thai Boxing course, and children's classes in BJJ.  Vandry's Academy teaches techniques slowly and deliberately, and focuses on teaching the student the techniques that they retain, not simply a place to 'train'.  We hope to see you in class!  You can call the Academy at 585-1289.

This is basic information, and I will get more detailed regarding specific nutrition in future articles, but this is a great place to start! Knowledge is power.
